Concrete Thickener - Sodium PolyacrylateEnglish name:Sodium Polyacrylate;NaPAA;PAA(S) Molecular formula:-[-CH2CHCOONa-]-n project index exterior White powder Free alkali qualified Sulfate (calculated as SO4) ≤0.5% Dry weight loss ≤10% Burning residue ≤76% Heavy metals (measured in Pb) ≤0.002% Arsenic (calculated as As2O3) ≤0.0002% Residual monomers ≤1% Oligomers ≤5% Sodium polyacrylate is a polymer compound with hydrophilic groups, a white powder, odorless and tasteless. Slowly dissolve in water to form an extremely viscous transparent solution. The viscosity of a 0.5% solution is about 1000cp, and its viscosity is not like that of CMC and sodium alginate, which absorb water and expand. Instead, due to the ion phenomenon of many anionic groups within the molecule, the molecular chain grows, and the apparent viscosity increases, forming a high viscosity solution. The viscosity is about 15-20 times that of carboxymethyl cellulose sodium (CMC) and sodium alginate. It has good alkali resistance, small viscosity changes over time, and is not prone to spoilage. Thickener, also known as stabilizer, thickener, plasticizer, water retaining agent, etc. Adding thickeners to concrete can increase viscosity in aqueous solutions when the dosage is low. Due to the constraint of free water in cement slurry, the gaps between cement particles are preserved, the frictional resistance between particles is reduced, and the mixture is prone to deformation. Due to the increase in viscosity, the cohesiveness is correspondingly improved, resulting in a good improvement in the segregation resistance of concrete. If the dosage is too high and the viscosity is too high, it limits the deformation of the cement slurry, increases the shear strength, and reduces the rheological properties. It is not conducive to the flow of the mixture, and attention must be paid during use. The commonly used concrete thickener is our product, sodium polyacrylate. The dosage is generally between 0.001% and 0 1%. It can dissociate into multi charged and high molecular weight anions in cement slurry, and under the strong repulsive effect of the same charge, the large molecules in the wire clusters become curved, increasing the viscosity of the solution. Successfully used model 12P. Applicable scope: (1) The thickener component used as a high-efficiency water reducing agent in the preparation of high-strength concrete is used to solve the contradiction between the deformation ability and anti segregation property of high flow concrete. (2) As a thickening component of the pumping agent, it is used to ensure that the pumped concrete is not blocked, does not segregate, and has good cohesion, thereby increasing its pumpability. (3) As a thickening component of non separating agent for underwater concrete. Usage and precautions: Dissolution method: Stir and slowly add sodium polyacrylate powder evenly into normal temperature water (preferably soft water) at 20-50 ℃ (note: do not add a large amount at once, and sprinkle the adhesive powder into weighed warm water instead of pouring water into the adhesive powder, otherwise it will form interlaced gel clusters that are difficult to dissolve). Keep it warm and stir until it dissolves into a uniform solution. The solution concentration is generally around 0.1-0.2%, and the dissolution time is about 0.5 hours. |
