Sodium polyacrylate is a polymer compound with hydrophilic groups, a white powder, odorless and tasteless. Slowly dissolve in water to form an extremely viscous transparent solution. The viscosity of a 0.5% solution is about 1000cp, and its viscosity is not like that of CMC and sodium alginate, which absorb water and expand. Instead, due to the ion phenomenon of many anionic groups within the molecule, the molecular chain grows, and the apparent viscosity increases, forming a high viscosity solution. The viscosity is about 15-20 times that of carboxymethyl cellulose sodium (CMC) and sodium alginate. It has good alkali resistance, small viscosity changes over time, and is not prone to spoilage.

Sodium polyacrylate has strong hygroscopicity and adhesion, and is made by granulating an appropriate amount of this product, which can increase the adhesion of cat litter raw materials. It can quickly absorb the moisture in feces and form a large hard mass without dust or small dust, which will not cause air pollution. Moreover, it has strong anti permeation ability, good agglomeration and odor absorption function, and solves the problem of urine. It can also coagulate urine into blocks and remove them together, which is hygienic and easy to clean. If you encounter diarrhea, you will also successfully suck it into a ball, no longer having the trouble of not being wrapped in ordinary cat litter. It is recommended that if you are raising a cat, those with weak intestines (which are prone to diarrhea) should use ones with good adhesion.
